Terms of use

The agreement between you and the person who runs The Ledger.

Who you are dealing with

The Ledger is run by one person as a personal project. There is no company behind it, no trading name and no business address, because there is no business — it is an individual publishing a training programme and a logbook. Everywhere these documents say “we”, that is who is meant.

The way to reach that person is dylangremium@gmail.com. It is the only contact route, and it is the same address given at the foot of every page.

1. What this is

The Ledger is an educational training-programme and record-keeping tool. It provides a structured resistance training programme, calculators and a logbook. It is not medical care, physiotherapy, or personal training, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure or manage any condition.

2. Health and your responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether this programme is appropriate for you, and for stopping when it is not. You should obtain medical clearance before starting if you have any joint, heart or blood-pressure history, are pregnant, or have anything that currently hurts under load.

All loads the app suggests are estimates derived from figures you enter. They are starting points to be adjusted, not prescriptions. Resistance training carries an inherent risk of injury which you accept by using this programme.

3. Your account and your data

Your training data is stored in your browser on your device. You are responsible for exporting a backup if you wish to keep it — clearing your browser data will delete it, and it cannot be recovered from us because we never received it.

4. Nothing is sold

The whole programme is free. There is no payment, no subscription and no paid tier, so there is nothing to buy, nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. No card details are ever requested or handled. The refunds page says the same in more detail and forms part of these terms.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the programme for your own training. You may not republish or resell the programme content as your own.

6. Liability

This is provided free and as it is, with no warranty that it suits you or that it works. To the extent permitted by law, liability is excluded. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — those cannot be excluded and no attempt is made to.

7. Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
